so let us see, since july...

what've i done, since july...

july...

ah yes, got a job working at this place that sells a bajillion kinds of liquors, including but not limited to beers wines and hard alcohols

i learned a lot this summer about all of those alcoholic drinks, and i learned to appreciate beer like i had never done before, making sure i smell it and taste it, not just down it like no other, ha! wine as well, we had to go to this wine seminar thing and learn all about the different wines and how to tell things about it and blah blka blah, now i can go up to some snooty person and tell em you suck! bah....

also had a seminar on hard alcohols and it sucked... i learned form that seminar that i do NOT like drinking vodka at 10am :S

and i made some new friends, randomly went to phoenix for a few days, came back and continued work. at this point i was still living on campus, squatting at a friend's summer apt. it wasn't that bad a place at all, it just sucked because i didn't have a key to the place so sometimes i would have to wait outside until someone came home or something... :/

so that's how the summer went, a bit of surfing here and there, LOTS of work, i got to working full time and plus, and the zine project guacamole which i'm very proud of :D

so that was july slash august

in september i had to find a place to live, found one moved in, got a crush on a kid but that went nowhere, and found a really cool rooftop overlooking downtown

in about 9 days imma leave to texas, and then the 1st week of february i'm off to argentina

october brought nothing new, found some cool coffee shops and started hitting up some local bars and watching local bands, also hung out with a bunch of new people and met and made a lot of new contacts in the music/art scene

november came and went and it was fun, something unexpected happened, in a good way

and now it's december, and that's crazy. finals week is this week, everyone is fretting and i have to start packing as well, ugh...

i'm hungry now

i'll start with london and the lot
what i wanted to do while in london:

• go see a show
• • didn't get to do that, although the girl at the hostel invited me to see her band, i left the day they were to play
    
• visit the free museums [the modern one sounds cool]
• • actually got to go to the tate modern, very cool :]
    
• put ksdt stickers all over the place
• • i put some on and around the london bridge bwahhaha
    
• eat fish and chips aaaahahaha
• • psh more like sandwiches and an apple
    
• take a shower
• • yeah, that was great
    
• try to get adjusted to the time difference
• • meh... kinda did
    
• figure out where i'm going to stay in spain and how i'm going to get to france
• • ended up taking a flight from london to madrid and got picked up at the airport by Hector who then took me to a hostel, where i ended up meeting a whole bunch of cool people :D
    
• oh and go to the zoo
• • nope, didn't get to do that
    
• and check out the giant ferris wheel
• • aaa the eye of london, i only observed it from down below
    
• and i know i will most definitely get lost mmhmm!
• • oh boy i loved the getting lost part :D i think that was the funnest ;P
    
• send postcards
• • yep, did that, from the post office right of the victoria station

Then I spent a few days in Madrid, missed my bus to the south of Spain so then I took a bus to Lisbon, got off in Evora accidentally, spent the nite there, got to lisbon the next day, got a room on the 4th? 6th? floor of the place, nice hike up the stairs, and walked around lisbon until almost nite time. 

then i met up with ricardo and his friends and had an amazing time, and then ended up staying at ricardo's place for a few days. I met some awesome people, and they showed me a whole bunch of places, and i got to go to the beach and boy is the water cold! brrr... then went to a music festival in the north with some of the people i'd met: paredes de coura, then came back, spent a few days at joao's missed my bus to madrid, then decided to go to the south of portugal with him and his family, spent a few days there, came back to lisbon, took a bus to madrid, took the plane to london, tried to sleep but failed to do so at the airport in gatwick, then finally flew back to los angeles where there was no one there to pick me up. so i called up hector, who'd been back in the states a few weeks, and his sister picked me up and took me home, where there was no one there... 'cause they'd all left to mexico without meeeeeeee! le sigh...

spent a few days at home by myself, hanging out with friends, baking cakes haha

then came back to san diego...

then a few days later i went camping with my friends a bit north of santa barbara

came back, started school

and... that's about it until december when i went to Costa Rica woot woot!

Costa Rica: Spent a month there with friends.
I got there, but my luggage didn't arrive for almost a week.
The first couple of days I spent it in Alajuela with friends, then we went to Jaco, a beach town, then came back a few days, went to San Jose where I spent x-mas with another friend and his family, then went to the east coast [caribbbean side] and spent there a few days with 2 friends, then came back to the city, went to alajuela and the next day left to jaco again to spend new years over there.
Celebrating the new year on the beach is awesome, i wanna do that every year! woot yeah!
Then came back to Alajuela after a few days, and left again to another beach on the Pacific side, where we camped out a few blocks from the beach and met up with more friends there. It was awesome :D
And then we finally left that beach and I bungee jumped right outside of the town and I started saying my good-bye's to everyone and then a few short days later I left :/

then i started school again and now i'm here... 

and this blog is gonna be 2 years old soon ;P 

wahoo! in about 14 hours i will already be on a plane strapped down and ready for take off

i can't wait to get there

what i want to do while in london:

from there i'll be off to portugal
and from there who knows?!
oh yeah, then back to spain
then england
then mexico

if it were up to me i wouldn't come back for a very very very very long time
fuck school i'll finish it later

friends, i'll miss 'em but they can come visit :]
family, they should love me no matter what

if only dreams could become reality haha

all's i know is that i want to go see bauhaus in portugal and if i don't see them i'm gonna be highly dissapointed
crap. i forgot about the tickets
no matter, i'll get in somehow

so it's been a while

i was just listening to the tender box hence the title of the blog

ok so here's the deal: bought my ticket to london for the 2nd of august, to land over there on the 3rd in the morning

from there my plans are to hop on a train to paris and from there onto another one to madrid, i already looked up the times and prices and such

and then for my return i have to catch the train in madrid on the 21st at the latest if i want to make it to my flight on the 23rd

 i wish i could stay in london a bit longer... but the youth tickets are only for like monday through thursday or something and if i don't get on the train that same day i'll have to pay way more :/

perhaps on my way back i'll catch an earlier train so i can see what london has to offer :D

boy would it be cool to be able to go up to scotland too!
i remember when hylton studied abroad over there, very cool

Went to see Los Abandoned play... Los Abandoned Winter Prom Formal thing... i don't even really know what it was called, but anyways, i got there all late 'cause of my stupid dress grrr

and then i had to look all peeeertty and junk so yeah... and then we couln't find the place

and we got there only to see them play 2 songs :( but then they played some covers of like rock lobster and stuff so that was pretty cool :D

then we couldn't find king taco and ate somewhere else and forgot the food at the counter and then we went to sleep around 5 with eernie snooring, we being hector and i

woke up, put on my futbol uniform, hehehe, i looked outta my mind. yeah... but it was fun

went to play some soccer out on the field... that was saturday, today's monday... yah, i'm still sore...

we tried doing cartwheels and handstands too, that's why my ARMS hurt... ugh, perhaps i should do more physical excercise more often? maybe? perhaps? myabe?

hah

finally went to eat, ate, went over to josh's were they played video games as did i.

the famous blue got there and he's awesome, and then we went to buy some spray paint, and went stenciling around south gate.

finally left and got home around 11ish and i was soooooooooooo tired ugh!

fell asleep once my head hit the pillow and woke up to my dad pounding on the wall with a hammer :/

he's still fixing the bathroom... after all these months :/ haha

then i ate something, don't remember what, waited for my mom to get home, never did, left,picked up chelvia, we broke up (??? ) finished driving back to San diego

then came herere to the house and took a super duper hot showere for my aching mus-cles

fell asleep

woke up 'cause i sneexed

and now i am still awake, and i haven't studied and i have 2@!!!!!!!!!! midterms tomorrow... ugh...

Yeah! I just saw the Violent Femmes! They played here at my school at noon, a FREEEEE show! Wahoo!

My lips are all red from eating a cherry jolly rancher. My head hurts. I'm hungry. I had a midterm. I'm dropping a class that I need to graduate and I don't know what I'm going to do next year.

 

Today's my mom's birthday. I called her from a payphone 'cause my cell phone's dead.

I found this really rad website about D.I.Y. Silkscreening and all I want to do is go back home and try it out. I can't wait! yey-yah! and another "wahoo" for effect.

I need to find a calculator for my midterm... I don't even know what kind of exam book i need to take. ugh!

 

my head still hurts. i think i'm dehydrated. imma go buy some water. or something

and i still need to buy that slingshot for mile*nuts hehe

and i can't find my scissors :(

Atleast some good things have happened too... i think... :o... lemme think...

• Went to a free show... but got there too late, we only heard the last song from the last band...
• oh oh!!! got a card to get 10 dozen donuts for free!! well, i mean, you buy a dozen and you get the second dozen for free, but yey!

• Oh oh! and I started my own mini business haha, the Feed Alda Foundation :D
• • People even bought my t-shirts and a bag! :o

I was finally an extra in a movie! Wohoo! I met Edward James Olmos and the guy who played Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite (again)

I had to dress like they did in 1968, and i met some really cool people, it was rad.

So on Saturday me and Eder got to be movie extras, it was more boring than anything, and we sat around and chilled for like 5-6 hours and then they only used us for like 5 minutes, bummer.
But atleast we got to see Edward James Olmos at work and saw the guy who played Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite there, he's such a goofball! haha

On and then I stopped at Wobbles house, and his mom didn't recognize me and he kept laughing at me, what? did i look like a girl or something? haha (i was wearing a skirt )

So we got to LA, parked and had to ride on this bus to this church thing and they made it seem all long and complicated to get there, and we found out all late that we were TWO!!! blocks away from where we'd parked our cars, ugh!
We had to fill out some paperwork and then they gave us chile rellenos, rice, beans, and all the coke, water, and gatorade we could drink. Good times! ha

We heard the paletero (ice cream truck) and we ran across the street! And so did like 5 other extras along with us, hahaha. Eder modeling the Choco Taco, mmmm choco taco.... haha:

Los Angeles California:

We decided to go to Venice and skateboard around. We ate the pb and j sandwiches my mom'd made me at the beach. We threw away a hot banana under my car and hoped that a bum wouldn't pick it up and try to throw it at us 'cause it was all warm and soft from being in my car for so long. Ha. And some of the crackers tasted like banana, eww. And we tried to make the Arizona drink colder by burying it part way into the sand but the tide was rolling in, and it dind't work very well...

Oh god, I'm so tired from this past week! Especially Tueday

Saturday:
Went to zoo around 1-2pm
There were like 16 of us at the zoo, haha
Went to the Getty (kinda) to see Aterciopelados, but we weren't able to get in, soooo
Went to Venice Beach and took off our skirt/jeans/shirt (i took off my skirt, lupe took off his jeans, and apple took off his shirt) and we all got into the water at like 9pm, it was rad
Went to eat
Got home around 2am

Tuesday:
Hung out with Eder from like 4 to 8
Randomly stopped in front of Alex's house and made her come out in pj's, haha
Got home around 9, ate, got a call telling me that they were gonna pick me up in like 1/2 an hour.
Left at lilke 9:50 to Incahoots, an 80's and indie and electroclash and all these other kinds of music are played there on Tuesdays.
Saw people there whom I knew and hadn't seen in ages!
After I danced my little heart out from like 11 to 2am (when the club closed) we stopped by an AM/PM and I drank a whole litter of water in the time it took me to pay for it and walk outside to the car, super fast!

Wednesday:
Got picked up from my house at like 4:30pm

Autumn, and I went to South Gate to see the International Noise Conspiracy for 5 bucks!
We got there late 'cause of a fire on the side of the freeway, some paper and part of a billboard was being burned:

So we finally get there, and we think we're gonna get in because there aren't that many people in line, and that's 'cause it's sold out and they gave bracelets away to the 1st 200 people, arg....

So we decided to put those 5 bucks to good use, and we went to eat. And then we somehow ended up in Long Beach...

And then we went back to the show to pick up Blanca and Autumn, and while we waited, the boys had some fun:
